Anti-Poverty Benefit Concert

Please join us for an fun-filled evening of great music, hors d'oeurves by Cafe Primavera at Allied Arts Guild and a silent auction. The concert starts at 7 pm at the Little Fox Theater in Redwood City on Saturday evening, Oct 10th. We are blessed to have Omega and her band perform for us, supporting and benefiting the work of Village Enterprise Fund.
The Little Fox Theater is an intimate venue requiring all patrons are 21 and over. Purchasing a $150 ticket will reserve a seat for you at a table by the stage. Omega's Bio:
Born and raised in Uganda, Omega has been singing and touring internationally since 4 years old. This year she was nominated by the NAACP Image Awards for Outstanding World Music Artist and for Best Female Artist by International Acoustic Music Awards for her excellence in music performance, songwriting, and originality.
Omega draws from her African roots to bless her listeners with a rich worldly flavor, merging several genres and cultures with jazz, blues, R&B, gospel and contemporary pop. She has been described as “having a voice that touches the soul”. Her band plays a rich cultural assortment of instruments: fretless bass guitars, acoustic guitars, electric guitars, percussions, drums, keyboards, traditional tube fiddle and African xylophones. Indeed there is no doubt that her music has global appeal, and she sings in the African languages of Swahili, Luganda as well as English. Omega is an African musician on a mission to defy the negative stereotypes that define Africa and on a quest to show the world the talented, happy, musical Africa they are rarely exposed to.
